WEDA Membership Classes and Dues Rates

Class 1 Membership

Organizations with economic development agendas that include lobbying. These typically include organizations structured with the sole purpose of furthering economic development related business

Primary member base rate:

Population served: over 15,000: $600 ($350 plus lobbying assessment $250)
Population served: 5000 -15,000: $500 ($275 plus lobbying assessment $225)
Population served: under 5000: $400 ($200 plus lobbying assessment $200)

Each additional secondary member:
$75

Class 2 Government / Agency Membership

Organizations with economic development agendas that exclude lobbying.

Primary member base rate:
$350

Each additional secondary member:
$75

Class 3 Individuals

These have no organizational affiliation and include lobbying efforts. These members are usually individuals with businesses that relate to economic development indirectly.

Primary member base rate: $150 ($75 plus lobbying assessment $75)

Each additional secondary member: $75

Voluntary lobbying contributions - can be made by any member:
Silver membership $350
Gold membership $500
Platinum membership $750

WEDA is a 501 © 6 nonprofit corporation. Contributions, or gifts, to WEDA are not tax deductible as charitable contributions. However, they may be tax deductible as ordinary and necessary business expenses subject to restrictions imposed as a result of association lobbying activities. Please consult your tax advisor.
