As the Agribusiness Development Manager for the Wyoming Business Council, you'll get to: Develop, implement and manage various efforts, activities and tools to help Wyoming agricultural businesses market their products both domestically and internationally. Build and manage relationships to identify, add value and increase access to markets. Collaborate with producers, food processors, value added food and beverage manufacturers and other related groups to identify industry needs and solutions. Increase trade mission participation, public awareness, education and marketing campaigns for the industry. A successful Agribusiness Development Manager will have experience in or equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in agribusiness, international trade, marketing, business or related field plus five years’ work-related experience in a professional setting. Strong agriculture industry knowledge and experience, specific to commodities and value-added products as well as experience in marketing crops, forage and livestock will be important for success. Outside of formal experience, it is important for the Agribusiness Development Manager to build and promote trust and teamwork. The right candidate will work well both independently and as a member of a team. As an Agribusiness Development Manager, strong communication, relationship development skills and the ability to exercise appropriate judgement and decision-making skills over complex matters will play a huge role.
