Legislative Leadership

Lobbyists: Orbis Advantage

Orbis Advantage, Inc. is a business consulting and public affairs firm founded in 2017.  Their mission is to guide growing businesses, corporate and nonprofit leaders, and future workforce to translate vision into reality through developing growth strategies and influencing public policy.

Orbis means compass. They guide their clients on the path to mission accomplishment. In the public affairs arena, they help their clients raise awareness about issues and advocate policy. Their work is grounded by a deep sense of community pride, appreciation for heritage and culture, and a desire to build strong businesses who have a positive and enduring economic impact.

The team at Orbis that will be working with WEDA includes Lisa Johnson and Annie Wood.

Lisa Johnson| President and CEO

Lisa is an enterprising idea person who likes to share with others to help in their business and personal success. She was raised on cattle ranches in Wyoming and Colorado. She holds a B.S. in Communications from Eastern New Mexico University and is a graduate of the Economic Development Institute. Her economic development career has spanned 20+ years and three states, with leadership roles at the county, regional and state level. She founded Orbis to enjoy the advantage of working on unique consulting on projects while being actively involved on her husband's family ranch at LaGrange, Wyoming. Lisa is equally as comfortable in the corporate board room or in the saddle.

Annie Wood | Consultant

Annie is a problem solver who enjoys bringing teams together to develop and execute solutions. She has worked in communications and economic development for more than fifteen years, as well as briefly venturing into the private industry of large manufacturing. Born and raised a Wyoming girl, Annie has grown up with a love of the outdoors - from camping, fishing, and hiking to running triathlons. Annie received both her undergraduate degree in Marketing and her MBA from the University of Wyoming. In her part time, Annie is also a small business owner handling aviation ground operations.
