Cyber Symposium and Energy Summit Will Look at Big Issues Facing State’s Businesses

May 11, 2016

Tickets, space are going fast as WBR is set to host conferences in Cheyenne next week.

It’s still not too late to land two of the hottest tickets around, as the Wyoming Business Report prepares to host back-to-back conferences at Little America on a pair of hot topics affecting just about everyone in the state’s business sector, as well as its governmental and educational communities.

Cybersecurity Symposium

The first annual Cybersecurity Symposium gets the ball rolling on May 18. Keynote speaker Thomas Glanville, founder and CEO of IDentity Theft Loss Prevention, will discuss the value of the data that is often “nonchalantly stored” in business systems and how business should “make a good-faith attempt to secure” that data.

Energy Summit

Held in partnership with Gov. Matt Mead, the annual Energy Summit on May 19 will feature educational exhibits, speakers and a panel discussion on topics key to the state’s largest and most-vital industry.

Mead is set to kick off the summit with an opening address. He followed by keynote speaker Michael Moore, executive director of the North American Carbon Capture and Storage Association, who will speak on “the real costs of decarbonization” to the national and world economies.
