Ron Gullberg

Ron Gulberg joined the Wyoming Business Council in March 2014 as communications director following a 25-year daily newspaper career. He was promoted to business development director in September 2017, where he managed the business relocation and expansion, finance, market development and agribusiness efforts, and the creation of the Wyoming-Asia Pacific Trade office in Taipei, Taiwan. Ron was promoted to strategic partnerships director in December 2019, leading efforts to engage with and facilitate networking for partners, stakeholders and private industry. Ron served as sports editor for the Casper Star-Tribune from 1993 to 2005, covering University of Wyoming football and basketball for 10 seasons, and managing a staff of six. Ron joined The Salt Lake Tribune in August 2005 as assistant sports editor before returning to the Casper Star-Tribune in 2006 as the paper’s first online director for news content and advertising. He became managing editor in July 2008. Ron graduated from the University of Oregon in 1988 with a bachelor’s in political science.
