The Wyoming Economic Development Association Promotes Tourism As an Economic Development Strategy

December 18, 2023

The Wyoming Economic Development Association (WEDA) and our members know how beautiful and inviting the Cowboy State can be. Countless Americans do too, as tourism continues to positively impact our economy.

Wyoming Economic Development Association Supports Tourism

According to the Wyoming Office of Tourism, travel spending in the state reached $4.5 billion in 2022. It accounts for 33,000 jobs – an increase of 1,850 jobs over 2021. Not only is tourism a significant source of income, but it also plays a key role in economic development. It can lead to population growth, entrepreneurship, and additional opportunities for existing businesses.

Visit the Wyoming Economic Development Association website to learn how economic development can impact the tourism industry and support the state as a whole.
